U.S. Bank Account Processor - Payment Research Rep in FARGO, North Dakota

Performs a variety of document processing and record keeping tasks associated with customer accounts that require a thorough knowledge of products and services in the assigned area. Responsibilities may include:

  • Research payment posting issues, such as mis-applieds, missing items, duplicate payments

  • Research and answer customer requests received via email, phone, and mail

  • Process transactions for credit card involving DDA, mortgage, loans, and adjustment departments

  • Providing creative solutions toward improving current processes to enhance the customer experience

  • Work with both internal and external customers for payment issue resolution

  • Backup other department functions as necessary

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Three to four years of experience in clerical and customer service activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of products, services, terminology, procedures and systems

related to assigned area

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while

maintaining a high level of customer service

  • Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
