U.S. Bank Business Intelligence Manager in Fargo, North Dakota

U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Business Systems Consultant with liaison and relationship management experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Responsible for consulting to Information Technology and business management on applying technology to business opportunities, planning, and implementation of cross-functional applications. Develops and maintains a complete and accurate understanding of how business units conduct business. Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of business's current technology and infrastructure from a functional perspective. Aware of and influences future technology capabilities and strategy. Provides senior level consulting services to internal business groups on large process improvement projects designed to improve business results. Works with senior business stakeholders to identify, refine, and document business needs using techniques like business process modeling and use case development. Assists and at times, may lead clients and technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve complex application problems related to system functions. Often first point of contact for user support and problem solving. May manage projects. Frequently interfaces with business lines, including management, and/or internal resources to ensure quality, timeliness, and testing of all project/release work. Works with, and sometimes leads, technology and application development teams to design or select solutions that appropriately meet the business needs for large and complex projects. Reviews and coordinates execution of test plans for multiple projects. Looks for opportunities to improve testing process.

Specifically, we are looking for someone that has experience managing and leading efforts around Enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives. This person would be responsible stetting strategy and planning for our Operational BI tools, services, and resources. They would work with our internal customers to understand needs and challenges and then determine how we can best partner with them and ensure their success. This involves not only maturing existing offerings but also looking for new tools and services that can help to meet these needs.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 10 years experience with activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Working experience in:

-Business Intelligence Tools like Cognos and WebFOCUS

-Database design and concepts

-Web Based technologies like HTML, Javascript, .Net, Java

-Information management

-IT project management

-Product and vendor evaluation

Extensive experience in:

-Business Intelligence industry and solutions

-Establishing centralized services to support enterprise BI efforts

-Managing diverse teams and priorities

-Working with business lines to determine needs, determine strategy

-System development life cycle

-IT environment

-System testing

Subject matter expert in:

-Business assessment

-Requirements analysis

-Workflow analysis

-Modeling: data, process, events, objects

-Business process modeling

-IT standards, procedures, policy
