Specific areas of involvement include generating new consulting offerings, , developing relationships with hospital executives, administrators, clinicians, directors of pharmacy, key opinion leaders and internal Vizient business groups to synthesize and identify medication targets of opportunity to reduce costs and/or enhance clinical pharmacy services.This individual will be based within reasonable commuting distance of Sioux Falls, SD or Fargo, ND and will be on-site at Member facilities with the exception of Company holidays, Company paid time off allowance and to attend Company internal business meetings. Responsibilities:Consults with team to develop and synthesize clinical pharmacy programs including: fee-for-service clinical pharmacy offerings and initiatives that will reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality of care to patients.Maintains and supports standardized documents, tools and calculators to support consulting offerings.Assists team in evaluating and positioning requests for new and significant formulary additions; develops draft protocols, clinical tools and order sets as identified.Demonstrates proficiency in various supporting databases including SLA, CDB, Mavenlink. LawsonHelps identify leads for future Vizient consulting engagements.Has a strong working relationship with Vizient members and consultants. Facilitates innovation in offerings through networking with key clinical pharmacy opinion leaders, novel information gathering and review of the literature.Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.PharmD is preferred A Masters in business or healthcare related fields is desired Must have significant hands-on clinical pharmacy experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills Previous experience as a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator/Manager/Director and inherent responsibilities with at least seven years in a progressive acute care medical center is required. Experience with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities is strongly desired Board of Pharmacy registration is preferred with Graduate training in an accredited College of Pharmacy (M.S. or post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy) and have completed a clinically-oriented pharmacy residency (ASHP approved residency) Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software is required.
