U.S. Bank is seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Architect with data warehousing implementation and data architecture experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives within Mortgage Technology Group. Designs the information architecture for the data warehouse, including all information structures (i.e., staging area, data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores). Inventories existing data architecture, including data flows and systems. Understands analytical reporting requirements. Designs data architecture that integrates new and existing Business Intelligence environments. Oversees the standardization of data definitions. Develops logical and physical data models. Defines subject areas. Creates procedures for maintaining models. Provides leadership to database group, IT, and the enterprise. Partners with IT and business customers to develop and design requirements to formulate technical design. Designs and develops data feeds into the Data Warehouse environment. Monitors data load performance and reliability. Performs data warehouse tuning and issue resolution. Assists other support personnel with tuning efforts. Coordinates with technical, ETL, and Business Intelligence architects. Leads other data modelers. Provides technical consulting and guidance to development teams during project design and development. Assists with testing, as required. Provides on-call support for data load processes on a rotational basis.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 5 years experience with tools, facilities and techniques for managing and administering data.

Extensive experience in:

-Logical data modeling

-Business assessment

-Requirements analysis

-System testing tools

-System development life cycle in an agile environment

-Modeling: data, process, events, objects

-IT quality assurance

-Technical troubleshooting


-Technical Leadership

-Strong communication skills with all levels of technical, business, and management teams.

-Mortgage or financial industry experience, preferred

Subject matter expert in:

-Data warehousing and Reporting and Analysis Tools

-Database structures

-Expert SQL and scripting skills

Any Desired skills (meaning nice to have or viewed as a plus)

-Experience working with a BI Universe/Report Development team

-Experience working with Kalido or Magnitude DIW software
