Microsoft Corporation Director - Microsoft Cloud Consumption, Enterprise Services Account Aligned & Commercial Support in Fargo, North Dakota

To help drive this effort, The Enterprise Services Account Aligned & Commercial Support team is seeking a dynamic individual to be the Director for Microsoft Cloud Consumption.

In this role, you will Champion Consumption; within Enterprise Services that will play a key role in helping our Services Businesses support their customers to achieve this digital transformation through successful adoption of Microsoft Cloud solutions. The Director role will be responsible for a small targeted team that is responsible for enabling the Enterprise Services roles in support of customer success and for identifying and landing key programs and initiatives in the field to drive productive use of Microsoft Cloud Services through Enterprise Services in close collaboration with the Customer Success organization.

You must demonstrate strong skills in adaptive leadership, cross-organizational collaboration, ability to drive impact through influence, relationship building and executive engagement skills. As a member of the Account Aligned Delivery (ADD) Leadership, this leader must work closely with the Services functional leads, Customer Success organization as well as field-nominated Consumption Champions; and AAD community across A14 (Asia Pacific, Australia, Central and Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Greater China, India, Japan, Latin America, Middle East and Africa, United Kingdom, Western Europe, Canada and United States Areas). This is to ensure the execution of programs within Services in support of the strategic company direction with Customer Success. You will regularly interact with Services teams (HQ & Field) as well as representatives from WCB (CS, M&O, Enterprise, etc.), Business Groups and Product Groups that have a responsibility related to Customer Success and Consumption management to define plans, coordinate efforts and review progress across company.

Global travel (approximately 20%), is an integral expectation of this position to work directly with our field Services teams, building relationships and capabilities. This role will work report to the General Manager (GM), Account Aligned & Premier Delivery in Enterprise Services organization.

The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:

Define Enterprise Services play in support of consumption through the productive use and adoption of Microsoft Cloud Services.

Learn methodologies and best practices from the industry and competitors, where available

Develop detailed field guidance based on sound data analysis

Partner with Customer Success, with various functions from Enterprise Services, relevant WCB and GSMO teams, Business Groups (BG’s) and Product Group (PG’s) to enable Customer Success agenda.

Establish and lead community calls, office hours and supporting tools (e.g. Teams and community sites) to support the communities you serve effectively

Define, manage and ensure achievement of Enterprise Services Consumption Key Performance Indicators and Transformation Leading Indicators, including Microsoft 365 Usage (Office 365 Active Usage, Windows Deployment, EMS Activation) and Azure Consumer Revenue

Drive increased level of Cloud consumption across Enterprise-covered Accounts through Enterprise Services:

o Providing guidance to field Enterprise Services Account Delivery teams and landing impactful customer success centric initiatives

o Consolidating and channeling Voices from the field into Corporate on requirements and needs

o Partnering with Governance to define Insights into the data to support actionable plans to address consumption

Be on point for Enterprise Services on Cloud Consumption related escalations to address opportunities and remove blockers.

Represent the consumption journey in alignment with the new Microsoft Unified Support, both supporting the landing of Cloud Success and Consumption design efforts

Directly engage with customers in Enterprise Briefings led by Services field and as executive support to the team and to understand how customers are responding to our strategy.

Align with ROIL by understanding industry trends and customer needs, you will create the strategy for evolution of the communities you lead In close partnership with ROIL, provide requirements and business cases for investments in readiness to support role evolution and to address key readiness gaps for the communities you serve, including strategies to bridge the gaps between average performance and role excellence.

Business results (Azure Consumed Revenue (Intelligent Cloud), Office 365 Commercial Usage, Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) activation, Windows 10 activation (which together comprise Modern Workplace), Dynamics 365 usage (Business Applications))

Percentage of Individual contributors and leaders meeting goals

Reduction in time from onboarding to strong performance for new hires in supporting the consumption effort

Percentage of targeted MIP within Premier supporting the customer cloud journey Ideally the successful candidate will have

15+ years of business leadership experience and should be self-motivated, confident in working at a senior executive level and comfortable in working in a matrixed organization.

Experience working in, or closely with, senior executives.

Experience with and/or deep understanding of Consulting and Premier services.

The ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.

Strong management, communication and execution skills; Someone who has energy, can energize others and execute.

The ability to work through ambiguous situations with can-do attitude and proactively determine creative solutions.

A strong background in leading people with the ability to inspire confidence in senior leaders and motivate his/her global team.

A Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience required, Master’s Degree/MBA preferred.
