U.S. Bank Flood Relationship Manager in Fargo, North Dakota

The Assurant Flood Relationship Manager will provide oversight of the relationship between Assurant and U.S. Bank (specifically, Mortgage Servicing and CLLO) to ensure Assurant complies with contract terms including Service Level Agreements. This role will ensure strong, consistent communication between the vendor and the businesses by serving as the central point of contact for U. S. Bank on all matters related to Assurant. Additionally, the role will provide oversight of all initiatives with Assurant as well as all known flood issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for U. S. Bank with Assurant. FLOD and SLOD should work through or in connection with this role on all initiatives/issues related to Assurant

  • Ensure appropriate communication between Assurant and U.S. Bank. This includes conducting regular joint flood meetings with Assurant, CLLO, Mortgage Servicing , and with BL partners (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Audit, etc.).

  • Oversee vendor relationship to ensure compliance with contract and SLAs

  • Provide regular/timely feedback to Assurant on performance; maintain documentation of feedback

  • Ensure appropriate management reporting in place to track initiatives/deliverables, SLAs, complaints, issues, etc.

  • Review vendor complaints for issues/trends and ensure action is taken appropriately

  • Identify and track all Business Line Assurant issues and ensure root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action is completed (this is in addition to TPRM reporting)

  • Ensure the necessary controls are in place to monitor Assurant’s performance


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Seven to ten years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

  • Applicable professional certifications

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business

  • Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

  • Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
