Elavon is seeking a Head of Global Associations with proven relationship management, business acumen, industry experience, and strong interpersonal skills to lead the development of key, strategic partnerships for Elavon as the company continues to grow and compete effectively in its target markets. The function is part of the Global Revenue organization at Elavon's global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

This person in this position will report into the President, North America and Global Revenue, and will focus on in three key areas:

  1. Developing and managing relationships with partners, including the Card Schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex Discover/Diners') and strategic global banking partners

  2. Identifying opportunities/initiatives that are mutually beneficial and will deliver specific objectives such as incremental revenues, margin, and customers

  3. Achieving alignment and championing those initiatives that generate mutual value to the partnership

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue targets as agreed

  • Manage an initiatives opportunity pipeline and champion initiatives prioritization and commitment

  • Act as a central point of contact between Elavon and its designated strategic partners

  • Assist in constructing and implementing partnership management fundamentals including relationship mapping, governance structure, and success metrics

  • Develop a deep understanding of Elavon's strategy and partnership needs to assist in the delivery of Elavon's strategic objectives

  • Direct, frequent engagement with Elavon's senior leadership team to achieve alignment and commitment on partnership initiatives and priorities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the partner's strategy, business, and expectations for the partnership

  • Demonstrate thought leadership around business models to facilitate partner engagement to achieve strategic objectives

  • Experience in negotiating business terms and partner contracts/agreements

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and to lead initiatives across Elavon and its partner's

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent in Economics, Marketing, or Finance

  • 10 years of experience in partnership management and/or business development

  • 8 years of experience in acquiring or issuing

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent in Economics, Marketing, or Finance

  • Experience in financial service industries or card schemes

  • Effective relationship building and management skills

  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written / presentation)

  • Experienced in partner negotiations and facilitation

  • Ability to manage multiple agendas and multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work with integrity and ethically and continuously uphold organizational values

  • Ability to work with aggressive timelines and targets
