Description

This individual will provide professional technical services and support to RDO Truck Centers team members. Provide professional technical services and support for infrastructure technology tools. Ensure appropriate knowledge and expertise in both standard

industry technologies and RDO specific systems and solutions. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing concise communications and building high quality relationships.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Provide effective telephone support to remote team members.

  • Install and configure personal computer hardware and software.

  • Identify and correct PC hardware and software problems.

  • Connect personal computers to network servers and printers.

  • Utilize technology databases to identify problem solutions.

  • Demonstrates ability to effectively setup users on a multitude of internal and vendor provided software applications and databases.

  • Install and maintain server hardware and server-based applications.

  • Maintain appropriate backup and recovery procedures to ensure timely recovery from hardware or software failures

  • Install all appropriate vendor provided security patches.

  • Manage software to ensure all computers and servers in the company are properly protected against all forms of malware.

  • Achieve and maintain vendor certifications for our supported systems.

  • Update inventory database for accurate billing of equipment within company

  • Follow written instructions to complete tasks

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Truck Centers.

  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.

  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.

  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree or higher in a computer or information technology program

  • 1-year of customer service or related technical support experience
