POSITION TITLE: Lead Member Service Representative DEPARTMENT: Member Services REPORTS TO: VP, Business Development FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt Position Description: Lead Member Service Representatives will assist MSRs in the efficient handling of member needs. Reviews and checks the work of MSRs, provides OJT, assists in the resolution of problems, balancing daily transactions, and verifies cash totals. Performs a broad variety of member transactions, and backs up the VP, Business Development in his/her absence. Answers questions and provides technical support for MS transactions. Performs a variety of account maintenance duties, and handles various projects to support the MS team. Demonstrates prompt, professional and friendly service to members and co-workers.Essential Functions:Provide efficient, effective and accurate performance of all member service duties in a courteous and professional manner. Role model high quality member service for less experienced MSRs. In addition to standard transactions, will process complex transactions as needed.Provide guidance and on-the-job training, as well as technical support and problem resolution for less experienced MS staff. Cross-train assigned personnel in all products and services offered at TCCU to ensure quality service to members. Provides input on the evaluation of performance for MS staff.Assist with balancing and handle difficult member services operational questions.Assist with Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports, debit card maintenance and checking daily reports.Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly along with daily reports/monthly audits. Maintains confidentiality and complies with all regulatory requirements.Will handle various projects assigned by the VP, Business Development. May assist in scheduling staff to cover member services stations. Assists in reviewing, correcting errors and approving timesheets in Time Force. Assist MSRs in various projects assigned by other teams within the Credit Union.Establish and maintain effective coordination and working relationships with all co-workers and management.At main branch, when CD or savings rates are changed, alerts staff and makes necessary changes to current disclosure. At main branch, researchesand resolves any offages with Bank of ND statement for remitted cash letters CU wide.Contribute to the achievement of sales goals by recognizing referral opportunities and effectively suggesting credit union products; present and explain services and products that will meet member needs.Other duties as assigned. Performance Measures:All tasks are completed efficiently, effectively and accurately in accordance with all established policies, standards and security procedures.Monies are balanced and discrepancies resolved in a prompt manner, standard issues effectively resolved with limited assistance from MS Supervisor.Members are served in a manner that builds strong business relationships, questions are answered accurately, courteously and promptly. Complex transactions handled independently.Strong working relationships with management and co-workers across all departmentsQualifications:EDUCATION: High school graduate or GEDEXPERIENCE: Two to three years of experience as a Teller, Member Service Representative or three years of cash handlingSKILLS: Strong skills in: interpersonal relations; verbal and written communications; cash handling; math and analytical thinking; organization; managing conflict; utilizing financial software as needed; maintaining a professional appearance.For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
