This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1255000and is part of the FMS #2, G4, Fargo, ND. * This position is an indefinite position NTE March of 2018 due to the deployment of employee. This position may also be made permanent at a later date at management's discretion.*

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Selecting Supervisor: CW2 Nikki Braaten, Surface Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor This is an indefinite appointment and may be made permanent at a later date based on NGB funding and at management discretion As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-9, Establishes, plans, and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E;) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed. Programs workload, shop space, and available personnel on a short and long-term basis.

1. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: the experience, education or training to reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understand the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
2. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 24 months experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes, while using current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and leaders
- Manage production data and work load priorities
- Maintain a filing system
- Interpret maintenance and supply procedures, policies and regulations
- Familiar with surface maintenance components and equipment
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, A maximum of 12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience. The education must have been in fields directly related to Production Control.
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the North Dakota National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Acceptance of a Permanent or Indefinite Appointment with the NDNG will terminate enrollment in the Tri-Care Reserve Select Health Benefits program. Federal Law does not permit employee who are eligible for Federal Employee Health Insurance to carry Tri-Care Reserve health insurance.
Appointment to this position will be made at the beginning of a bi-weekly pay period. Applicants MUST understand that Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB), although may be elected within the 1st pay period of employment, are not effective until the pay period after they make their election. Election for FEHB must be made within 60 days from the 1st day of appointment.
Technician pay periods are 14 days in duration.
Acceptance of a Permanent or Indefinite Excepted service position will cause termination from Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) & Military Bonus Programs (Recoupment is dependent on type of bonus individual has).
