About the opportunity:

A fast paced environment that includes working with Stroke and STEMI patients. You will have the opportunity to both circulate and scrub for challenging cases. Our Cath Lab delivers world class stroke care in our brand new Medical Center that opened in July of this year. We have the most advanced stroke care team in the region and we also offer 24/7 stroke care. Our Cath Lab and includes 9 labs and 2 procedure rooms.

Job Summary:

Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process. Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures may be asked to supervise the students.

Credential

Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). No secondary boards are required if primary duties reside in cardiac cath lab. If working in ND and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, must be licensed through the ND MIRT Board of Examiners.

Education

Must have completed an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must have a good understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control and radiation protection. Computer skills desirable. Experience with computed/digital radiography and PACS preferred.
