JOB SUMMARY

Daily Functions: Create Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) for all studies that involve human subjects research to ensure Sanford complies by the laws, rules and regulations for compliant coding and billing. Create internal budgets and budget analysis for multiple interventional and observational Clinical Research studies to include but not limited to: NCORP, Industry and Pharma Sponsored, Grants and Investigator Initiated. Complete budget negotiations with contracted Pharma partners. Provide quality assurance checks for externally completed Medicare Coverage Analysis, internal budgets and budget analysis to review for accuracy and compliance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Workflows: create and document workflows to assist in billing compliance to include but not limited to: Lawson code build request for studies involving devices, maintain and update important contact list for the Enterprise, Investigator Initiated review process, Research Fee Schedule maintenance, quality assurance workflows and inpatient study procedures related to billing.Education: Research and apply current trends and updates on clinical trial billing, participate in billing workgroups, attend webinars and provide education and updates to internal team.Audit: Conduct billing audits and provide support for other internal or external auditors; investigators and resolves compliance issues related to the healthcare environment and clinical trial billing.Evaluates regulatory agency reports and formulating responses and corrective actions.Maintaining logs, indexes, files, computer databases and other records pertaining to clinical trial billing compliance and risk.Create logs and systems for entering and tracking clinical trial billing compliance and guidelines.Confer with Management staff regarding clinical trial billing compliance risk areas and final reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree or 5+ years experience in Clinical Research, Coding or Clinical Trial Billing is Required.
