The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the state specific Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules. The Sanford Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation for nursing care delivery. The RN is responsible for utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an ambulatory setting. The RN cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in and out of ambulatory care settings. The RN is responsible for the coordination of care, patient screenings, patient education, triage, and various other medical interventions. A sampling of some of the specialized clinical skills that may be performed includes, but is not limited to, age related patient assessment and intervention, sterile field preparation, assists with minor office procedures and IV therapy. Potential to float to other departments. May delegate to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their defined scope of practice as well as students and new orients. #featuredjob
Additional 10% Acute Care Premium paid for all hours worked. Walk In Clinic hours Monday through Friday 7:30AM - 8:30 PM, weekends 9:00 - 6:30, holidays 9-5:30. Shifts vary from 4 to 12 1/2 hours in length. Hours and days off will vary during the week. Every other weekend and rotating holiday schedule. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail, ability to work as team player in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be able to prioritize care for multiple patients. MN License required within 90 days. Position typically works 64 hours every two weeks, but has the ability to flex two shifts up or down depending on the department. You receive an additional 5% premium for this.
Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, etc). Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
