Responsible for daily operations of the grain handling facility.
Ensure identity preservation through binning and segregation with high regard to maximizing capacity utilization, supervision of employees, grain grading, sanitation, maintenance, elevator operation.
Ensure safety and environmental requirements are followed.
Operation of grain cleaners and precision graders or seed cleaning and treating equipment, probing and weighing of trucks and railcars, loading and unloading trucks and railcars, perform quality evaluation, including DON testing.
Minor plant and equipment maintenance, plant and ground sanitation, seed distribution, storage evaluation – including temperatures, moisture, migration, infestation and climatic weather, fumigation, cleaning and sizing of grain.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, daily use of VPO principles and SOP evaluations. Operates independently for extended periods.
Skills include all of the above with thorough knowledge of multiple plant functions up to and including Malt Plant cross working. (West Fargo Elevator, Idaho Falls Elevator, and Idaho Falls Seed)
Responsible for barley quality analysis, record keeping, and reporting of malting barley receipts and shipments in and out of Busch Agricultural facilities.
Analyze new malting barley crop samples evaluations for management. Test and evaluate new processes/equipment, this could include implementation.
Maintain control checks on testing equipment. Communicate, both written and verbal, with internal and external customer.
Cross function utilization. Supervision of employees may be required. Other duties may be assigned to cover seasonality (seed season).
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, daily use of VPO principles, and SOP evaluation.
