Supplier Development ManagerWest Fargo, NDOBJECTIVEWithin the Strategic Sourcing organization, the Supplier Development Manager is responsible for the qualification of new suppliers, monitoring and improving supplier scorecard performance, and supporting our New Product Development teams through the use of Advanced Product Quality Planning tools to qualify purchased components.RESPONSIBILITYSupplier APQP execution on critical purchased componentsQualification of quality systems for new suppliers and reevaluation of current suppliersMonitor and improve Supplier Scorecard performance on all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery and CostManagement of Supplier Product\Process Change RequestsAlignment with Plant Supplier Quality to support resolution of supplier quality issuesEvaluation of supplier capacitySupport the execution of supplier VA/VE and productivity improvementsWork closely with the Regional Category Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategiesPromotion of technological advancement and innovation within the supply baseLead the promotion, training and execution of Lean Six Sigma tools within the Supply Base.Training and development of Supplier Development EngineersBachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.7+ years experience, 3+ years experience in related position.Knowledge and skills in quality systems, operations, supplier management, and\or product development.Ability to apply quality tools and techniques in problem solving.Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.Excellent leadership, presentation, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.Strong business aptitude, negotiations skills, and analytical ability.Must be self-starterProven ability to implement processes and work cross-functionally while managing multiple projects.More than 50% travel required.The world-renowned brands that make up Doosan Bobcat produce industry-leading compact and heavy construction equipment, attachments, air compressors, lighting systems, generators and articulated dump trucks.
