Town & Country Credit Union Assistant Branch Manager in Fargo, North Dakota

PRIMARY FUNCTION:Responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in executing the sales and service strategies for the branch and to achieve overall TCCU goals. Serves as backup to the Branch Manager in overseeing Branch Operations and Member Service Staff. Responsible for providing members with products and services on a variety of complex transactions. Will provide loan servicing support to the Branch Manager and serve as a backup behind the teller line as needed. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of credit union history, philosophy, and organization. Support and implement the philosophy and objectives of Town and Country Credit Union.Follow policies and procedures as outlined for the branch and credit union operations, including all security procedures. Provide superior service to all members and maintain strict confidentiality of all member and credit union information.Actively supports the culture and mission of the credit union.* Create and maintain an atmosphere or condition which fosters employees to work at their optimal efficiency; maintain open lines of communication and encourage staff to regularly establish goals and objectives.Possess thorough knowledge of all products, services, and financial functions within the credit union and understand their interrelationships.* Assist members through the receipt and processing of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check requests, change of address, check orders, payroll deductions, loan payments and file maintenance. Sell various monetary instruments (i.e. money orders, corporate drafts, etc.) to members.* Responsible for assisting members with new accounts, IRAs, and other financial transactions as needed. Will assist the Branch Manager with a variety of consumer lending tasks, including basic lending responsibilities utilizing licensing to sell credit life and credit disability insurance. Maintain current knowledge of all consumer lending programs, policies, procedures and performs all activities in compliance with them.Communicate with members regarding transactions relating to the account (overdrafts, closing accounts, charges and fees, transfer of funds, etc.).* Assist the Branch Manager in the overall direction and performance of branch team. This includes providing input as requested on hiring, performance evaluations, scheduling, training, and helping with regular staff meetings.* Support the Lead Member Service Representative in organizing the branch's teller operations and provide daily support to Member Service Representatives. Provide general guidance and advise Member Service Representatives in the efficient handling of member needs and transactions.* Track and report the branch sales team's results to the Branch Manager on a monthly basis.* Assist with business development initiatives, business plans, and programs to manage the overall branch financials and goals to achieve a highly profitable and efficient overall branch operation. * Work with Branch Manager to support team training to profile members and to cross-sell products and services based on the members' financial needs. Cross-sell credit union services by maintaining a working knowledge of all member services and assist Member Service Representatives with questions and achieving their goals as necessary.
