Sanford Health Internship Program aims to provide our interns with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. A HOSA Intern will contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first-hand experience that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Individuals applying for a spring internship must be from within a 100-mile radius of the internship location and must commit to working 20-32 hours per week on-site until the maximum of 384 hours is met or another end date is agreed upon. Shifts are flexible based on your class schedule. Spring internship session start date is January 15, 2018.


The student intern will work directly with the North Dakota HOSA - Future Health Professional State Adviser. The intern will be responsible for assisting the state adviser in all aspects of development and implementing the ND HOSA Leadership Conference. Intern will learn the National HOSA registration software to track HOSA participants and advisers in the state for the HOSA State Leadership Conference.


Must be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a pre-professional health program. Internship is located in Hettinger, ND, can be long distance but may be required to travel to Hettinger a few times. Must have good human relations and communications skills; must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the leadership staff. Must have strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
